The Joys of Potty Training....

Today Hopie went in the big pot! Yeah! I haven't really started the potty training stuff but am finding that now would be a good time to get the ball rolling. She went, got m&m's and told the family of her great accomplishment. After nap I asked her if she wanted to try to go on the pot. She said..." How about you just change my diaper".. plain as day... I said "How's about you go on the pot?" and I took her in. We tried.. it didn't work this time but that's OK. I reminded her that when she needs to go next time she should tell me and if she goes, she'll get some M&M's. She looked at the toilet in our bathroom and said, "this is the best pot I've ever seen"... after laughing, I asked her why... " she said, cuz it's your potty mommy! and I love it!"..... I controlled the urge to give her the bag of m&m's for just being so darn cute..... the potty training adventure is officially on its way! I'm sure there will be many more laughs to come!
