Time with mom and dad

I took my parents to the airport today... just talked with them and they've officially made it home. We had such a great time together! It was so fun to have them here spoiling the girls, and us! What a treat to be able to go with Scott on a tour- I realized that although he does go to some exotic places ( Tennessee not really being one of them ha ha) he sure does work while he's gone! We had a great group of travelers and a lot of fun but I was glad to be home. Thanks mom and dad for watching the girlies so I could go!

I loved a lot of things about their visit.. but here are a few of the highlights:
  • Dad gave Hannah art lessons and now her first painting is framed in our living room
  • Mom gave Haley and Hannah piano lessons daily... this is so great because I can remember that piano was really the only thing that my mom and I really consistently fought over... unfortunately, it seems that some days are like that with the girls and I but once Bokie is in the equation... it's much different and for that I"m grateful! They are rockin' their Christmas books! Love it!
  • Hope's room is finally together with curtains, wall hangings etc. etc.
  • All the girl's clothes are cleaned and put in piles for me to go through ( what fits, etc. etc)
  • I didn't cook for about 2 weeks.... but we ate very well!
  • I loved taking them to the beach- not sure who had more fun the kids or adults?

It is amazing how when you are around certain people they can teach you things without even trying. An example of this was when I got home from our trip and was getting the girls ready for school. My mom stopped them as they went out the door and had a prayer with them and told me that they had been doing that every day!... Now why didn't I think of that?

My plan for them- as many of you know... I always have a plan for someone- is to get them out here to stay.. or at least more often! We'll see- it would be soooooo great!

Sounds like you guys had fun! Love the prayers on the way out the door to school. I may have to adopt that...
