Great Wolf Lodge

A few weeks ago we had a 4 day weekend due to teacher in service days. While Scott was in Russia I booked us a family get away. He came home and had about 4 days to get over his jet-lag and he did an amazing job! We headed down the road to the Great Wolf Lodge. This was our sister birthday bash... a little something to kick off the birthday season at our house. Since Lauren's birthday is a week after Hannah's, Mel and the kiddos came too. Why not celebrate with friends?!
The lobby is all decked out like you are in a rustic log cabin. There are little critters all around that are on a timer and tell stories, etc. through out the day. Here the girlies are getting a great big bear hug by the front door.

Each night "mother tree" tells the kiddos a story about the legend of the wolf. To be honest I didn't listen too much to the story, Mel and I were discussing the incredible price of Starbucks coffee at the lodge- even more expensive than usual!! But the kids liked the story and that's what counts.

Here are our 3 tired kiddos. They have some really decked out rooms here at the lodge but we stayed with the old stand by and loved it.

The girls were in their swimsuits within 15 minutes of hitting the hotel. The big draw to this place for those of you who don't know is that it has an incredible indoor water park. When you pay for your room, you get 2 days of swimming/sliding/and screaming- so so so fun! The big girls did every ride in the park and Hope did all but one- the thundering tornado- she didn't make the height requirement. We had a great time laughing and screaming on all of the rides! We highly recommend it for anyone who wants some great family fun!
