Although my husband doesn't look very happy in this picture... we did have a great new years bash. (He and Russ were hamming it up for the camera!) Being
Isoms we played a lot of games including
uno attack, backgammon, apples to apples, and we attempted a 500 piece Peter Pan puzzle.

We also attempted to make sparkly parfaits with jello and cool whip! Thanks Granny for heading up this project! Believe it or not I never seem to have good luck with jello... sad isn't it?

I had everyone write letters to their future selves to put in our time capsule for next year. The girls had a great time measuring, weighing and describing themselves. Their letters were so cute!
Hopie even
blinged out her card! She was so proud of her work!

The girls here.... deep in thought.

Earlier in the day we went to South Hill Park for a walk. It was lots of fun and really cold! We had a great time cracking pools of ice and "skipping" rocks over the frozen pond. It made the coolest sound!

Hope you had a great New Years Celebration! The girls got to stay up until mid-night for the first year! We started with East Coast... after all two of the three were born in that time zone, then we moved to mid-west grandparents... they were still going strong so we said we would celebrate with the cousins in Idaho on
mountain time... but by that point- what's another hour?! I did draw the line in celebrating with the Alaska cousins! Maybe we'll save that for another year!

The game with Scott and Russ could be scary, ha! Those fancy drinks are really inviting...yummy! Nothing like walks through the park...for us it is the cemetery, hah!! Sounds like you had a great New Year's Celebration...so did we even though it was much quieter I bet. Love you, Mom and Dad
