Do the (clap clap) potty dance....

As you know, my personal kiddos are past the potty training stage ( thank the Lord) but one of my extra kiddos is just starting! So, Mel, who is also starting the process with Ryan, decided to have a potty party complete with pull ups, videos, dancing, food, it was great! Our little buddy Will was invited too. Will's mom and I swap babysitting so that we can volunteer up at the school.

The first order of business was to come in the door, take off not only your shoes (standard up here), but your pants as well ( not so standard) and pull on a fresh new pull up! Yes.. the perfect boy party, laying around in your undies playing with tonka trucks! We did this for a bit, ate lunch, then proceeded to pass out their dance mats, plug in the dvd and we all learned the potty dance. It was so funny!

None of the boys actually went in the potty at the party but it sure wasn't for a lack of trying! I hear Will is making progress and Mel has moved onto bribes with Ryan. I'm not sure what Larui is doing with our Cade this weekend... but I'm confident that all 3 will have this mastered by the end of summer! After all, isn't that how you potty train boys? Just let them play outside and "water the plants" in warm weather?
