Cute little Bandits!

Mel and I did the annual food drive for Carson Elementary again this year. This year we did two food drives, one close to the holiday's and another in the Spring. I called on my good friend Tammy to help out with the festivities and she came through like always! We had a "western round up" theme to the Spring food drive and the top 3 classes ( measured by weight of food brought in) got a root-beer party! The winning class also had a hot dog lunch and a ride in a real stage-coach! Kaitlyn and Hopie loved dressing up for the part of "horsey helpers". Too cute!
Mr. Huson's 4th grade class was the winning class this year. After the class had their rides, I got the Isber kiddos out of class for a quick ride. Lauren, Mia, Hannah, Haley, Hope , Kaitlyn and Cade were all troupers and such great helpers on food weighing days. I asked the principal if he thought it would be "special treatment" if I let them ride- which I didn't want but he thought that their efforts needed to be rewarded! Thanks Mr. Gonzales! It just so happened that Hannah's buddy Caitlyn K was principal for the day and got to ride with us - in an official capacity.

Ms. Tammy gave us a ride around the parking lot and even let the horses trot! Squeals of laughter echoed through out the parking lot! So, so fun!

I asked if there was anything that we could do to help Tammy get ready and she said, "Sure, go groom the horses!" Good thing that I had one growing up and kinda knew what I was doing! Kaitlyn knew no fear but Hopie on the other hand took a little warming up... but she did it and bragged to her sisters immediately upon seeing them! :-) Thanks again Tammy at Country Wagon! More pictures to come this summer once we start riding lessons in Aug! Can't wait!
