Horseback riding lessons

We have been so lucky this fall! Our friend Tammy has agreed to give the girls horseback riding lessons on two times a month. We go on the Wednesdays that I have off. I go and volunteer in the morning at the school and then we hit the ranch in the afternoon. It is a great way to spend my day off and the girls love it!
It was so cold! By the end of the day the girls were bundled up and in the barn while Tammy and I put away the tack.

Yee haw Hopie! She is such a trouper! She helps me work around the ranch and then gets a ride at the end! She can't wait until she is "long enough" so she can reach the stirrups and ride all by herself!

Haley is eating this up! Can you tell that she is just a little bit excited? She can brush and saddle the horse pretty much on her own. Tammy helps cinch the saddle on and does the bridle. The mouth part is still a bit scary but I know Haley will get it in time! She and Hannah both are riding without the lead and are doing a great job at directing the horse, Lacy, where they want her to go.
