One of the great things about my nieces is that they love to hang out with their cousins. Lots of girls that are in their 20's would rather do other things than a talent show, but that's exactly what the girls did for us one night. It was so much fun and so darn cute! Here's a picture of one of the opening acts- the macarina!

After show snuggle-fest

We had an opportunity to go ice skating and it was so much fun! They had 5 gallon buckets that you could turn over and push and it would help you keep your balance- what a great idea! We had the rink to ourselves most of the day. The girlies did a great job! I guess those roller skates that Santa gave them really helped!

The silly girls...

Scott and I had a date night and we went to dinner and then to sit in the hot springs. It was a lot of fun- so much so that we brought the entire gang back the next day. Here is my dad loving the water!

Here are the bathing beauties! The springs have about 6 different pools but just two were open. One was pretty hot and the other more like a bathtub. We would go between the two and sit, talk and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

My hubby and brother Steve chill-axin in the hot pool.

On our last night after the relaxing hot springs we had a cook out on the lake. We ate hot dogs and smores and had a great time. The Cobbs, who own the cabin, thought that we were going to be gone and so they came up on our last night. They got there just time to see us chowing down and decided to get a hotel in town. For a minute there we thought we were going to have to hustle and clean and pack up but thankfully, we were able to stay one more night. Thanks again for the fun experience at the cabin Lyle and Donna!

Stephanie, Hannah and Hopie eating on the dock. This year we started with a snow storm and ended with a sunny cook out. We didn't get into the lake this time, we'll have to wait and go again later in the year! The darn thing just melted a few weeks before got there!

Haley Poo roasting marshmallows for our smores.... yummy!

Hannah chowing down a sweet treat-

Hopie wanting some more!
We left the next day back for home. We drove around the mountain, and had quite an adventure. We had a car sick kiddo, saw lots of wildlife, stopped at a restaurant that had a sign to leave your guns at the door, we stopped in Pomeroy, WA where Scott's mom grew up. We saw the house she lived in as a kid and played at the park in town. The kids did a great job traveling and Scott did a great job driving the million miles there and back. It was a great way to kick off summer vacation!
