Another day of A, B, C's....
Today was another one of those plan A.. I mean B... oops... looks like plan C... kind of days! Plan A was to do school. I have Kylie this summer and we are still doing pre-school although it has been sprinkled liberally with field trips and fun! We are doing the letter B this week and yesterday we did the sign language, the songs, the books, the worksheets.. whew! ( and also hit a puppet show at the library!)... so today it was letter reinforcement day! :-)... also known as arts and crafts.
I saw this great idea to make bird feeders out of old milk jugs on a site that my sister in law Cory has on her blog. So today we made Bird feeders for our letter activity. Haley and Kylie were in one group and Hopie and Hannah in the other.
Hopie and Hannah divided the jug into equal halves both painting the appropriate area....

The finished products! Plan A was completed so we moved on with the plan.. which was to go hit the wadding pool. Well, after we had suited up and rubbed on the sunscreen, we hit the road... only to find that the website lied and the pool was still under construction... off to plan B. We found a park with a pond and ducks and played on the big toy then took a nice walk. It was getting close to time to go home when I decided to push my luck and go for a plan C... ( can we say fly by the seat of our pants?- that's just kind of how we roll around here some days).. anyway, we went to "Terry's Berry's" and had a great time exploring a working farm! I thought we were kind of close to it.. turns out not so much.. but all 4 girls were troupers and had a blast once we hit the farm. They loved seeing the guy on the tractor and he was so nice to answer all of our burning questions like.. "what's your name?" and "where are you going?"
Who wouldn't have fun with friends like this waiting!?
And these guys...
And this cute little fella. I guess these ducklings were pretty new. I just had to get some Berries... it was letter B day after all! :-) This farm didn't have any u-pick stuff available but I did pick up some golden raspberries- I'd never had golden before but they were really good! Scott was lucky to get any by the time we got home! All in all it was a great day for learning our ABC's.... maybe next time you can come learn with me (us)?

There's nothing cuter than baby ducks, unless it's grandkids!
Sounds like a great day. You're so creative!
LOVE your flexibility, Deb. I could stand to have more of that! Wanna pass some my way? =)
Your creativity is awesome, too!
I wouldn't be surprised if you got yourself some squirrels with those feeders, very cute!
What a great fun day!!
