Mt. Rainier

Yesterday after Scott got home from the Y, he suggested that we take off to the mountain. We haven't been in so long! We grabbed some water and a few snacks and hit the road. It was a beautiful day! We had a great time hiking.. saw a mama deer and a baby, another lone deer, a huge herein and 3 frogs! There were tons of people up there so we skipped the visitors center but had a great time even without the overpriced ice cream stop! The girls were troupers! Hopie was a bit upset with us when she realized that she was a big kid now and would be required to walk and not ride in the back pack... but after the initial shock, she took it like a champ and hiked all day long! Hannah brought a bug collection jar and the kids enjoyed finding stuff to put in it... Ants mostly. Haley ran up the steepest hills- waaaaayyyy too much energy! haha! I wish she would share some with her mama! :-) We ended the day with a stop at Subway... gotta love the $5 foot longs then home to bed. What a great Saturday!

Hey B-
did you know the big girls are going to be with Russ and Judy Thurs-Sat? If you need help with those berries I'm sure they'd love to help! ha ha!

Love seeing Mt. Rainier again. We used to see it from our kitchen window. The pictures are fantastic. Love the girls outfits...can't loose them when they are dressed alike, huh? You will be so happy you have blogged all your fun trips and taken so many pictures as time goes by.
