Mt. Rainier Hike

This past weekend we went hiking at Scott's favorite place in the world.. ok, so maybe it's on the top 10 list.. I keep forgetting that his version of "the world" is a lot bigger than mine these days haha... anyway, we went to Mt. Rainier. We did this great 4 mile hike. The weather was great and the girls of the braided pigtail club did an fantastic job! I think that the 2 miles each day to school is really helping them train for our weekend marathons with daddy! :-) The weather was so sunny we all wore our shades! Do we look cool or what?

Some of the highlights of the hike were a grouse, a chipmunk, the beautiful views, a rock shaped like the state of Florida ( which I carried for a certain little girl over 3 miles back to the car), 2 lakes and last but not least fresh, wild, mountain blueberries! Just when there was a little potential for whining about the walk, there... much like manna from heaven ... were the blueberries. The girls picked, ate, walked, picked, ate, walked.....it was just what we needed! It was most definitely a Moses experience! haha! We had a great day and a really, really good nights sleep!
