Terry's Berries part 1

Last weekend we took the girls to Terry's Berries. The plan was to pick apples and then make cider with an old fashioned cider press. We didn't get to pick apples, they had already picked them for the weekend I guess, but we did get to do tons of other fun things. The plants and flowers were all so beautiful. The sunflowers were huge and made me wish yet again, like I do each year at this time, that I had planted some at home. Maybe next year?! The girls did a great job for our first, of many, pumpkin picture photo shoot. I just love this time of year!
At the farm there were a few animals to see as well. We thought that it would be fun to see some chickens but I guess to some little girls chickens=scary scary! You'll see in one of these pictures that Hopie is sporting a sad face while mommy is laughing... I grew up with chickens, and sheep, and a horse, and cats and dogs, etc. etc. it cracks me up to think of chickens as scary... but they were! I had one kid crying in my arms and another trying to climb up me while Hannah was trying to make chicken friends and Scott was taking pictures.... too funny! We also found 3 baby bunnies in a little burrow. They were so cute and not scary at all! :-) The girls wanted to take them home but I convinced them that they needed to stay with their chicken friends. haha.
