Mornings in the Northwest....
Oh how I wish I had a picture of our morning! We are having torrential rain here today and we are a walking school... you see the problem? The girls walk over a mile to school each day and usually it's not that big of a deal but the monsoon season has hit! They are even saying that there will be snow close to us this week! Crazy!... anyway, the lady who usually does the walking school bus called me last night and is sick so I said that I'd cover for her. Well, then I was woken up by the rain and thought oh, no! I called Mel and we were going to carpool (drive)... then Cissee called and needed help getting her 3 to school, ( she does not drive) so we decided that I'd drive Cissee's 15 passenger van with the Isber kids and Jawara kids. Then once I get to Cissee's house with all 5 kids in toe I was greeted by 3 other neighbor kids that needed a ride! So I took 11 kids to school in this giant 15 passenger van! It totally reminded me of the youth group days in Tennessee! They all made it safe and sound and I don't think that they were tardy- but really at this point- it's ok with me! Just more proof that it takes a village!

I had to come over and see that place where you pressed cider. Sorry about the rainy day. We're still in jammies, just getting dressed.
Hi girls! I'm in Vienna, Austria at the airport and I can't wait to get home so I can see you! Hope it stops raining there. Love you lots!
I'm so glad you all got up there safe and DRY! this walking school bus thing is a kind of cruel joke in the NW! maybe a good idea in Hawaii?! Glad you happen to live in a village....or had the sense to create your own village, ha! :)
Plain and simple, YOU ARE A ROCK! Hahahaha!! Seriously, Deb, you are like a pioneer woman who never wavers in the path of danger and uncertainty! I so miss you!!!
Looking forward to Scott's pics and the tales of adventure from his land...tho, I doubt it indcludes 15 passenger vans and villiages.....then again.... :)
