Terry's Berries part 2

We finished off the day making cider. They had an old apple press there and we got to pick our apples out of the box, place them in our bucket wash them, rinse them then take them to the apple chopper! Here the apples were chopped up into little bitty pieces and then we started to squeeze the juice! Hope started the "pressing" experience, then Haley and finally Hannah. By the time Hannah got to it she really had to use her muscles to get the last of the juice! The girls loved this experience and I think we'll make it an annual event! It was Sunday and we wanted to incorporate our outing with church so we talked about how God is concerned with the heart of people not how we appear on the outside. Being an organic farm the apples were "real" looking as opposed to their shiny friends at the store so there was a lot of opportunity to talk about how they looked and even though they were different we could still use them. We also talked about how God can use all people not just people who look different but who act different etc. etc. We ended up with a great discussion and fun family time! Yay for family church!
