Russ and Judy were able to come up for a few days for New Years. We had a great time playing games- uno, princess yatzee and puppy pal bingo just to name a few. We were very fortunate in that we were able to celebrate the new year two times in one night! We celebrated east-coast style with the kids and had smoothies to toast in the new year, then the kids went to bed and we celebrated west-coast style with the grown ups. The kids made another appearance around mid-night- one of our neighbors who is in the military set of a "bomb" to ring in the new year and set off all the car alarms in the neighborhood! I knew exactly who it was, watched him do it actually, so he got a good hearted scolding via text message around 1:00 am. My kids had a bit of pnytss.... post new years tramatic shock syndrome but we got them back to bed and then all was well. :-)
