A VIEW FROM THE TOP!!!

This is Haley's fishy room. Bokaw ( my dad) adds a little something each time that he comes to visit. I have recently rearranged it to get ready for a huge new addition to the room... drum roll please.....

Well, first let me tell you that we have been eagerly awaiting this addition for over 6 months. Our addition has come to us from a neighbor ( surprise, surprise) and has been in our garage for quite a long time. I have had great "dreams" of this night and as you can see, I'm not the only one who is excited here....

Bunk Beds!!! Yeah! Our girls love to slumber party as often as they can. I usually don't let them on school nights, but what used to be a "weekend only" deal is now most nights of the week. I guess that since we really only have 1 week left of school it's not a big deal right? Well last weekend I put up the beds... well, I being my neighbor Mel and I. I'm the type that looks at directions, looks at the project, looks at directions again, then calls for help. Mel is the type that tosses directions, says "what if we....." a lot, then always.. always... always pulls it together. We are a very fun, yet semi dangerous team! Did I mention that I called her over for help when she had just had a baby 2 days earlier? yeah.. we're that kind of pals... totally co dependant :)
So, Mel gets the first two major parts together then I do the ol' " oh! now I get it!" so I finished up the project. I was quite proud of myself but I guess Scott had other plans than getting mattresses ..... like grocery shopping, etc. etc... real legitimate things... but I couldn't wait, so I put 2 toddler bed mattresses on the new twin bunk beds... let's just say that it was a head wound waiting to happen... so... tonight, my lovely husband surprised us after piano lessons with two spankin' new mattresses. Why didn't I just get used mattresses from a neighbor you say? well that's easy, because I'm borderline germ-a-phobe and don't want any one's sweat, pee, dust mites, etc but our own thank you very much... and I guess another logical question would be why didn't I just go buy mattresses myself... well, I was more than eager to.. but am not quite the "let's make a deal" kind of guy that others in my family are...who shall remain nameless ,but are male.
The funny thing is that Hannah and Haley are having a sleep over, in the new bunk beds, with fitting mattresses... and they are sleeping in the same bed- the top bunk. Shh... don't tell Scott that we really only probably needed one mattress! :)
