Today was another scorcher here in the Northwest but before it got too hot, we headed out to the strawberry patch and picked a ton of berries! The girls and I usually do blackberries every year but this is our first time strawberry picking and we are hooked! They loved it and did a great job!
Haley enjoyed inspecting the berries before putting them into her bucket. She was very good at checking for quality control for us! She asked before she ate which was really nice... but I was asked pretty often...and yes, I let her eat them! That's part of the fun!
Hannah took it as a personal challenge to fill her huge bucket and she did! She sure is one determined kiddo when she puts her mind to it! She even helped her sisters fill up their buckets but was happy to point out that hers was the biggest :-)
Haley has a full bucket and probably a full tummy too!
Hopie really got into it. She was so funny... she wouldn't pick them if they were too red or if they were green.. she kept saying " too red mommy, yucky or too green". I am proud to say that history did not repeat itself and that we were able to stay the entire time at the strawberry field without being asked to leave. I remember growing up when my mom took the 5 of us to pick strawberries that my brothers got into a strawberry fight and we were asked to leave the field. My poor mom!:-) Maybe it's the difference between boys and girls? Or maybe it's just my dumb brothers?... I vote for number 2 :-) love ya boys!

Yeah for summer finally! Nice pickens- way to go girls :) See you tomorrow already- yeah! EVelyn can't wait to go to Tolegate-she thinks it's one GIANT pool-ha!
