Friday morning bright and early I left a sleeping husband and 3 sleeping kids to sneak away with a friend. For the next 24ish hours I went with my friend Kari to a great escape on Bainbridge Island. Kari's friend Christie was house sitting for a family member and invited us to come over and hang out. Here's a picture of the beautiful home that we stayed at. We took a 2.5 mile walk/hike ( one way) to the sound and hung out most of the day on Friday. It was so fun to just sit by the shore and talk! We walked back, ate lunch, had a nap, read all about important world events in People magazine, did a little yoga, had a little nap... it was a perfect day! We ended off the night with going to see Mama Mia.... I love ABBA music so it was a real treat! 
Kari will kill me for this picture! :) Once we left the island this morning, we stopped in Palsbo at a great little bakery. We then walked the board walk, looked at the yachts and did some beach combing before heading home.
This picture was taken this morning on a quick hike before breakfast. Christie, Kari and Gayleene are all avid walkers so it was fun to go explore together behind the house!
