What a week!.... so far....

This has been a great summer... and this week has been no exception. Tuesday night we went for dinner over at some friends house and stayed until 10:45! Now for those of you who know me know that I like to have a little schedule and all especially when it comes to bedtime, but we were having such a good time that we just stayed and talked forever! Our friends the McVey's have 2 girls so they all watched Strawberry Shortcake and we got to have adult interaction! Yeah!

Wednesday I took the girls swimming at another friends house. The Millers actually let Scott live with them for a few months when we first moved here. They have a great home with an in ground pool- a novelty here in Washington and opened it up to anyone who'd like to swim. I got the girls and Mel and her kids and we headed over yesterday for what we thought was going to be about an hour.... it turned out to be close to 4! The kids did a great job and love love loved the pool! It is an open invitation so I think that we may crash on them again really soon! They are the couple that let me have my "get-away" weekends with the girls last year. We spent the night at their house, swam, watched movies... it was a lot of fun. I'm going to see if we can squeeze that in during the next month or so. We love the Miller's and their generosity! :)

Tonight should be a lot of fun too. Our neighborhood gals... with some small group ladies and some mom and me friends are going to go to a Japanese restaurant for dinner. It is a Hibachi type place where they make it right in front of you... should be lots and lots of fun!

Tomorrow.. Friday, my friend Kari has arranged for the two of us to stay at a place on Bainbridge island (sp) for the night. She has a friend who has family there and they will be gone... so I'm really looking forward to that! The plan is, coffee, yoga, a chick flick, and hopefully sleeping in... it's the simple things that make me happy! haha!

So, here is one post to cover the entire week. No pictures, no frills, just a little glimpse into my life at the moment. Hope that your summer is as enjoyable as ours!
