Another reason to love Spring...

There are tons of reasons to love Spring here in Isomville. At the top of the list is the sunshine! I think that there is something magical about the sunshine up here. - Since we don't always have it we really know how to appreciate it! We often joke about how Spring in our neighborhood is so nice because we all come out of hibernation. We've been out of hibernation officially all weekend and it's been great! Yesterday, I got to have coffee and a great walk with my friend Kari while Scott took the girls to the daffodil parade! What fun! But it isn't just me who has come out of the house to enjoy the weather! An example of this happened just this morning. I needed some mayo to make sandwiches but didn't have enough, so I looked out my back door and saw Mr. Randy working in his yard. I asked if he had any and sure enough he did! Then 10 minutes later, he was throwing rocks at my window to get my attention and needed to know if I had a saw he could borrow... and sure enough, I did! I had what I needed to make 5 lunches ( Isber style) and everything ready for Mel and I to take the kids on a bike ride to the big park. She pulled in from a morning of work with 2 blended coffees and I knew it was going to be the perfect day! We stayed at the park for a few hours and seemed to time the return trip just perfectly! (no drama, meltdowns, or whining- and the kids did great too! ) This post is pretty random I realize, and is starting to sound like a "If You Give a Mouse a Muffin" story- but the point is, I love my neighborhood- especially in the Spring! :-)
