We started Spring break with a play date with our friends the Johnsons. Mira and Hannah have been in the same class since Kinder and Haley and Hailey have as well! It's been fun to hang out as sisters and as friends for these past 4 years. We decided to get together over break and have some fun. We all went to the zoo together and saw a great show. The bird at the top left was so much fun to watch. I guess it catches its prey and bashes it on the rocks until it has liquefied and then swallows it whole! They had it find a "plastic lizard" but we didn't know it was plastic so it was pretty crazy until we realized the poor thing was never alive to begin with. The animal at the top right was cool because it's feet turn all the way around for it to be a good climber both up and down trees- but I forgot it's name. We loved the porcupine- I so feel like him most mornings! The bobcat was so pretty and the aardvark has an 18 inch tongue- pretty crazy! At the end of the show the girls took turns petting rats- eewww! It was a fun day and we got to the car just in time before the rains came !
Later that night Hailey J spent the night at our house and Hannah went to Mira's. The girls had a great time on their extended play date but I for one was exhausted! :-)
