Season's change, life goes on, but we don't have to always like it!
This past week we did something that we are not very good at doing... we had to say good bye to our good pals the Borens. We have had so much fun together over the past year or two and I sure am glad that they were here in Washington- even if it was just for a little while. Here's a recap of our "season of life" together.....
SPRING: ok, these were taken last week so Spring is really pushing it- but if you know Tiff you know she loves a theme so humor me! Last week I got to watch the boys for a few days while Jason and Tiffany packed up the house. The first day was a "no thank you" nap day for big man Jack... but the next day Miss Debbie wised up and walked his little tushie to the park about 1/2 mile away. After we played for about an hour, it was time to go home and Jack said, "Miss Debbie, my legs are tired now and they want to ride with Grant".. but I was on a mission, and determined that I would have all 4 kiddos asleep for a little while before Hannah came home from school so I made him walk. I'm happy to say that he didn't protest any more, just accepted his new reality as the latest recruit in my babysitting boot camp and the next two days were park and nap days! Even slumber party naps at that! Now that's one tired toddler!
WINTER: Christmas is always a lot of fun and this year was no exception. We celebrated it on the actual day with our "extended/adopted" family. The Boren's were part of that group. We had a great time teaching them how to play scum and had great fun laughing with Tiffany ( not at of course because we are nice friends) as she got all her cards in order. I even had to break out a number line for her at one point!
SUMMER: What a bummer it will be this summer to not be able to hang out at the Park! I'm hoping that you guys will feel the same because you miss our fun times together and not just because you are moving back to the land of humidity! Ugh! I don't envy you at all in that department! :-) These pictures were taken the day that the boys had their first taste of chocolate pudding! I'm so glad that I was able to corrupt them a bit in our short time together! Just think of the damage that could have been done if you were here longer! :-)
We'll miss ya and love ya!

Great blog. Glad you had fun with your friends...now you have a place to visit even if it is humid. The pictures are great and what a novel way to display them...what a talented daughter you are...thanks.
Bummer...we are learning this where we live too. But like your mom said, you'll have more places to visit now!
