Enough with the theme songs!

ok, ok, I know that I get a little nutty with the songs for the blog... but this one totally cracks me up- AND it talks of El Paso AND Mexico... so.. this is in honor of you Scott, enjoy your trip and I better not hear of you hitting Rosa's Cantina while you are down there! :-) Be safe and have fun!

Here's a summary of Scott's planning trip:- so you'll know what he's up to.

Buenos Dias from Walking Adventures!
Our Adventure begins north of the border in El
Paso, Texas, where we’ll rendezvous for a motorcoach
ride to Chihuahau, Mexico. Here, we’ll
catch the Chihuahua al PacĂfico train (nicknamed
“El Chepe”) to begin our ascent to the rim of the
Canyon, considered by many to be the most scenic
rail trip in North America. El Chepe’s route is 400
miles long and passes over 37 bridges and
through 86 tunnels; at one point, the train drops
3500 feet in elevation in only 87 miles! In addition
to our explorations by train, we’ll enjoy stops
to walk and discover the rural mountain villages
along the rim of the Canyon, offering a perfect way
to connect with this hidden corner of Mexico!
Mexico’s Copper Canyon is actually a network of
six canyons covering 20,000 square miles. Though Arizona’s Grand Canyon is larger than any individual canyon
within the network, the Copper Canyon sequence as a whole is approximately four times larger than the Grand
Canyon and is deeper, in places, than its American counterpart. Our Adventure in this region of Mexico is chockfull
of Mexican culture and history, showcased amidst breathtaking scenery!

Thanks a lot! I just got this song out of my head, I've been singing it all week. Every time we talked with Papa about when he was leaving for El Paso then, sure enough, Good Ol' Marty Robins comes along. You really can't go wrong with it though, it's a great song.

Please don't stop! I think it's great how you change the music to fit the happenings of the day. What a way to create memories that you can relive over and over simply hearing a song...
