I must admit that I once seemed to be a blog addict... I checked it for comments far too regularly and added daily posts chronicling the happenings of our little family- oh how I long for those days again! These past few weeks have been crazy busy with loads of transition and endless to do lists! I'm hoping that this week will be a slow or at least a normal one! Here's some things that we have been up to.
- Scott's new job is going well. He's been able to meet with quite a few people and talk through the loan process- mostly refi's at this point. He has officially closed on one loan and has quite a few more in the hopper so that's great news! He's getting the hang of it but the learning curve time is always a challenge! I have no doubt that he will do well once we get the ball rolling a bit faster :-)
- I have a new job. I'm a Program Coordinator for Compass USA- and exchange program. This has kept me really busy with conference calls, "webinars", and reading ... tons of reading so that I can be on top of things! I think I'm going to really like this job but again... the "learning curve" is at times a bit scary.
Now on to more important things:
Hannah- is working hard to get her AR points for the semester. She is very close to meeting her goal but is much more interested in drawing right now. She has evolved from the kid that can't get her nose out of a book, to the kid who won't stop writing in her journal and now to the kid who won't stop drawing!.... I'm not too upset- I'm thinking that there may be a real future for this kid- who knows, one day she may write and illustrate her own stuff! :-)
Haley is so excited! She has the honored and very coveted title of "Star Student" this week at school. She gets to bring in her favorite book, 3 "personal items" of which she chose her stuffed puppy, her shawl, and one other item that I forget.... real cute. She has been longing for this title all year and was SO VERY EXCITED when she was chosen last Thursday. She has been coloring and filling out her poster- All About Me- all weekend. We have already laid out the star clothes for tomorrow- a dress with polk-a-dot tights! I'll try to get a picture on here tomorrow!
Hopie is cracking us up with all of her stories! Tonight as Scott was brushing his teeth, she told him how her stuffed elephant Lumpy had gone poo poo in the house! When we asked her where I was she said I was down stairs so she cleaned it up all by herself. When I told her that she was a good mom she said "yeah, now I don't wanna talk about that kind of thing anymore".... too funny.
Well, I promise to try to stay up to date with my blogging! I know that the Grandparents out there would appreciate that! :-)... but now, it's almost time for 24 the only show that I watch all the way through so I've got to go get my popcorn ready so I can see Jack save the world!
