OVER HEARD.....

All was quiet at my house today.... scary and very rare! So I went to look for the kids. Hannah and Haley were playing dolls and Hope was all alone in her room, stripped down to her undies with her piggy bank open on the floor. When I asked what she was doing, she said, "getting all my money and giving it to the poor and hungry people because you know mom, they are really poor and hungry. "... sounds good to me!

Hope also told me that she needed a bath tonight because her bot ( short for bottom I guess) smelled. Yuck!?!? So after laughing, and giving her a bath I said there, you smell all better. ( For the record I don't think that she ever did stink and I have a pretty sensitive whiffer)....Then she said let me see and proceeded to put her face in the water to try to sniff. After the initial shock of water in her nose and standing up as quick as she could, she said, " that's good mom I'm done." This kid is such a crack up!

Haley came home today telling me that she learned all about mart hoop lee huls. I was quite baffled but when her friend Lauren agreed I thought that they were really on to something. Then, the more and more I heard the two of them talk about these "4 legged animals with a pocket for their babies.... like a Kangaroo"... it hit me that both of these kinders are missing their front teeth. So what they were trying to say were Marsupials..... too funny!

Hannah is starting to learn about figurative language in school. She is now the pun police and thinks it's really funny when you say things like my nose is running.... can you help me catch it? This would not be too big of a deal except for the fact that we live with Scott.... the king of the pun. Maybe I should start teaching Hannah fractions since most of her dad's puns are just 2/3's of a pun.... the P and the U..... they stink! :-) BUt are kinda funny!

Thanks for the James Taylor music in the background--I really like his music. And thanks for the stories about the girls. This grandma is happy now!
