Conversations with Hannah....

Today I picked Hannah up from school ....alone! The other two stayed with Scott so I could surprise Hannah and take her shopping. Haley and Hopie are set with beautiful Easter dresses thanks to family and friends who are believers in "passing on the goods" when they are done. Poor Hannah, since she is the oldest, rarely gets hand-me-downs so it's a bummer on one hand cuz she doesn't get as many clothes.... but on the other hand she scores new ones instead so it evens out!

She was so excited about my surprise! Such a cute kid! We hit a few stores and finally ended up at Ross and got a really pretty white dress with lace all over it!.... ooooo la la! She is such a sweet kid we had a great time together- a rare treat! I can't believe how grown up she is getting! Slow down kid your mama can't take it! :-)

We were able to talk about tons of things, but one conversation that sticks out in my mind was the one about our dearly loved, Mrs. Imber. Anyone who knows Mel and I know that we are usually joined at the hip- however, that does not make us alike in any way. She is the yin to my yang, the east to my west, the good to my bad.. or is it the bad to my good? anyway, you get the picture.

We take turns taking the kids to school and today was my day. I cranked up the ABBA and we sang and rocked out for the mile and a half to school.... great time! So this afternoon, Hannah says, " Mom, why does Mrs. Imber listen to that dreary Jesus Christ music?" I couldn't help it.. I had to laugh... "dreary and Jesus Christ "just don't seem to mix for me- especially when describing music?! I asked her what she meant and she said Mrs. Imber listens to that " you are holy, I am sorry" sad music, we listen to stuff you can dance to. I'd rather dance. But don't tell Mrs. Imber- I don't want to hurt her feelings"....

Too funny! Now I wonder what Mel's girls really think of Auntie Deb's musical choices.. hmmm... I'll have to investigate that one!

i don't think she would like to know that mr. imber listens to country, but we both love bob marley, celin dion. also can't forget our hawaiian songs.

It's good to spend one-on-one time with each girl. They'll remember how much you love them because of it! Hannah is so special. Hope you'll get a picture of her in her new dress.
