Well, we missed school again today! Three in a row! So now our Christmas vacation has officially started! I've got a bit of the yuck, so the kids and I stayed home today. No neighbors, no outings, just hanging out. Kind of amazing for us! We made a gingerbread house- from a kit this year! I got it last year as a gift and didn't get to it so kept it for this year! It saved my sanity today! You'll have to click on the pics to see them larger but the girls had a ton of fun! They are so funny- each one had an idea about how the house should look, but when it came down to it.. they didn't care who did what as long as it was "pretty and fun"... I hope they can always have that attitude- what a great life it would be! haha!
I did let the kids play on the back deck in the snow. After all, we don't get this much of the white stuff very often! Hannah started out early this morning, Hopie joined her then Haley. The three made snow-women that resembled each other. Kinda funny. So now we have Snow Hannah, Snow Haley and Snow Hope on our deck. I filled a spray bottle full of green food coloring and Hannah made a shawl for her snow girl. I was thinking that we could do yellow food coloring and really gross out some of the neighbors by spraying around their houses... maybe tomorrow. We don't want to use up all the fun in one day! :-) Maybe I could teach the girls "don't go where the Huskies go..don't you eat that yellow snow.." Cabin fever? Who me?! Naaaahhhh!

I love the snow-sisters! And you're way too funny with the talk about making yellow snow for your neighbors. Sounds like you guys are making do! ;)
I never would have thought to do the colored water spray bottle. Very cool. It could be a new vocation. Snow painting. I love it! (And you wonder where Hannah gets her creativity...)
Hey is that the gingerbread house kit I gave you guys last year? It's way cute! glad you got to put it to good use (but I wouldn't eat it when your done) ha :)
We're all snowed in too but it's not any fun to play in-too wet.
