Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree...
This past weekend was lots of fun! It started off with us getting our tree on Saturday morning! I had great plans of waking up early to get a jump on the day... but instead we hung out until around 11 then hit the road for our perfect tree. For a moment or two I toyed with the idea of going to chop down our own tree but judging by the mood of the family I thought that we better do business as usual this year and add that to next year's list. None of them knew of my plan so going with plan B was not a problem at all!
We went to Cook's Christmas Tree place for the third year in a row. I got out of the car and said.. "Hey girls, just smell those trees.. aren't they great?" Just about then we were greeted by I assume Mr. Cook and his cigarette. The girls were less than impressed with the "seasonal smell" but thankfully kept the comments to a dull roar. :-)
Once we loaded up the tree the real fun began. The girls had lunch while Scott put it in the stand on the deck, then we brought the tree in and started to decorate.

We are still adding to the tree almost daily. The girls and I slept under it last night. It was a lot of fun! I especially liked it since I went to bed at 7:30!!! When is the last time that happened?!?! I did wake up at 3 just because my body was in shock but went back to bed and was actually almost late getting the kids off to school! This truly is a magical time of year.....10 hours sleep and not a kid awake before 7:30?! :-)

Benny and I are in the same Christmas tree mode. It came out of its hiding place and was soundly air dusted by Bokaw. He put the tree together in sections and there are approximately 1000 little lights on the tree. They look so pretty, I told him not to put any colored lights on the tree this year. We hope to finish decorated this coming week and it is such fun. Wish you were here to help us. Love, Bokie
Yay Christmas tree! Cute pix, too!
I love the pictures of the girls! They always look so happy.
Our tree was put together this weekend, too. Love the pictures of the girls. Part of Christmas is the excitement in their eyes. Love, Granny
