IDAHO TRIP PART 9
One night, I think it was our last, all of us girls were going to go swimming in the condo pool. Once we were all ready, suits on, sun screen on, towels in hand we realized that the pool was not "summer ready". There was water in it but it seemed as if the filter was not working so of course the girls wanted to hit the lake. Since it was already about 9:00 and my plan was to swim, then put the kids to bed, the lake would be way too cold and too dark. So..... we traded in our sunscreen for bug spray and hit the dock.
We told ghost stories and I told them the very tame version of the legend of Charlie the giant sturgeon that lives in Payette Lake. I was told this story by my wonderful brothers while learning to water ski. I swear that all of my brothers were in the boat, my oldest telling me this story about a huge man eating fish, but Steve swears that he had no part in that......he's older and you know your memory is the first to go.. haha.. I do remember my sister in law Kathy telling my brother Benjie to go pick me up once I wiped out on the skis. He was taking his own sweet time driving the boat to me and the rest of them were yelling "What's that?!" etc. Gotta love brothers! :-)
I also told the girls the story of "the ghost of the poopy diapers".. which they thought was funny and another favorite of my brother Benjie, "the ghost of Able Cable"... I never really noticed that Benj loved the ghost story so much?!
Anyway, these are pics of our night on the dock. Love, love loved it!
