Imromptu Tea Party.. the best kind!

Today my friend Larry came over and did some work on our living room. Larry is in construction and can make lots of cool stuff.. so naturally, I like to tag things on to his wife's honey do list when ever I get the chance! Today he came over and brought some shelving that was at a winery in Seattle that he was working at. They were going to toss these great shelves but he saved them! He put about 3 or 4 up in his house... then I got the left overs! Yeah!

While Larry was busy working, his wife was also busy working, which meant that he had a young apprentice ( his daughter Kylie who I babysit) with him all day. A deal was struck that he'd finish the work in one day if I could watch Kylie for him... boy did I get the better end of that bargain! We decided to have a tea party- the girls didn't mind that it was with water and animal crackers!

Here is princess Hannah. Grandma Claire found this dress at a second hand store and it fits Hannah perfectly! She still loves to dress up- what girl doesn't- and was so happy to finally have something that fit her! :-)
Princess Haley's dress also came from Grandma Claire. She looks so good in lavender! Notice the painting in the background... we were imagining that we were in Monaco or some exotic port! Thanks Bokaw for the inspiration- great painting!
Princess Hopie and her pal Princess Kylie. They are so cute! We finished off the event with some princess dancing and then a little Sound of Music. We had a special interest in the "grand ball" scene!

The mark of a great princess dress is how good it twirls. I'll have to have it demonstrated someday!

What fun! Glad to see your girls haven't grown out of being princesses!
