Catching up

ok, so it seems as if the last post could be read as one of self pity.. not so much meant to be that as just longing for the sun to shine. :-)... sorry if it came off as anything else! :-) I've had a few calls of concern.. I guess that my warped sense of humor doesn't always translate well into writing! haha!

On to this weeks chapter in the exciting life of the Isom's. Scott leaves tomorrow morning for Egypt and Jordan. He will be gone for 19 days and is really excited about this trip. He will be seeing some amazing things and will again be taking monkey along so stay tuned for the fun!

Hannah was invited to have pizza with the principals on Friday. I didn't get a picture of it but will get one this week! The girl's school passes out Carson Kudos for students who go above and beyond what is expected. They can get these for picking up garbage without being asked, working hard on some academic endeavor, or in Hannah's case, for offering to share her lunch with a student that didn't have one. All of the Kudos go into this big box in the office and at the end of the week they pick 10 students to have pizza with the principals. Hannah's name was chosen! She wasn't sure if she wanted to go at first... my cautious child.. but after she went she loved it and sat right beside the Principal! He has 4 daughters so I'm sure he knew just what to say. She loved it!

Haley is doing great in school. She is really tearing up the reading program which is great. We are hoping that she will be on her way to first grade reading by the end of the month. We'll see! She went out to pizza with Scott today for their date and used one of her pizza hut book-it coupons that she gets for reading. She saves those to use for their dates each month!

Hope is doing great. She is talking so much! And her new trick is to BE HEARD! She has found out that the volume of your voice gets you attention so needless to say we always know where she is now a days! She cracks us up!

That's a quick run down of what 's been going on here. I'll try to be better at posting-it's been a bit crazy around here the past few days!

Hope the sun shines for you today. It't beautiful here. Change is coming they say...that's MO.
Happy to hear good news about the girls...maybe Hope will be our new family preacher with her volume. We can visualize Scott's trip...will be eager to hear about it from him and recall similar experiences. Have a wonderful week...Love, Mom

Great job, Hannah! What a sweet thing to do. I can't believe how much all the girls are growing up! Wish we lived closer...
