Half-Pint is my hero!

Since we have been at mom and dad's we have been watching quite a few Little House on the Prairie videos. My brother gave them to my mom for Christmas and the girls love them. Yesterday my niece Stephanie came out to spend the day ( or Sneffabie and Hopie calls her) and we took the kids to Mansfield, MO to see the home of Laura Ingalls Wilder. This was not the home she lived in as a child, but the home that she wrote all of the Little House books at. It was a lot of fun to see all of things that she wrote about like her tin cup that she got for Christmas- for those of you die-hard fans out there you will remember that she got a tin cup, a peppermint stick and a penny one year.... yes, we are now Little House experts- sad but true! :)
I ended up buying the first book on cd which should come in handy on our trip across America next week and the book so that Hannah can follow along. I'm hoping that will help us on our first leg of the trip to Witicha, Kansas.
It was about 95 or hotter yesterday so we rounded off the day with swimming and an early bed which they desperately needed... actually all of us desperately needed that- haha! Our little friends were back. It's not the greatest picture but it gives you an idea.
Today is our "let's see what happens" day.. no real plans but it's sure to be a fun one. Haley is currently out on the tractor with dad while Hannah is working on her postcards to friends. Hope is finally getting dressed!

Fun! I am re-reading through the Little House series right now too. I'm sure your girls loved the experience and seeing that tin cup. Have a safe trip to Wichita!
