One of the things that the girls love to do is to feed the horses that my parents board- Rosie and Spirit. Haley loves to run on the other side of the fence and they follow her the length of the yard. I have been giving them lessons in how to hold the food so that the horses don't mistake their fingers for the carrots and I'm happy to report that there are no missing flanges so far. Hope just likes to drop the carrots once their mouths get close but that's ok with me. The girls have started to pet them and we are talking about braiding their mane this week, after all we love to accessorize! My niece Shanda has horses at her grandparents house so we can get some riding in later on in our visit.
The pool is a big hit! The girls swam at Tolgate and have been in my parents pool every day. Today Hopie was walking in the pool without a floaty and being quite a big shot. Now is the time to worry since she has no fear right? It's a good thing that dad didn't fill it all the way up. It is about 2 or 3 feet deep- perfect for the kids. We have had a lot of fun in it as well. It's taking us awhile to get used to this HUMIDITY!!! Holy cow.. how quickly you forget! :) Thank goodness for air conditioning for Western Wimps like us!
