As part of a gift to my parents, my brother Steve and his wife Cate ( that I didn't get any pictures of! Boo hoo) got the family condos for a few nights in Branson. I stayed with my parents in a great 2 bedroom place. Mom and dad had a king size bed, and jacuzzi on their end and the girls and I had our own bathroom and 2 double beds. It was great. My oldest brother Benjie and his family were right next door so we got to play with those cousins a lot and then Steve and Cate and their kids were a few doors away. We all ate dinner together each night and then just hung out swimming in one of the 5 pools or playing on the playground. It was about 85 at 11:00 a.m. so my after nap bribes quickly became a before lunch, after nap and right before bed "incentive"... which worked very nicely I might add. The girls were so tired! I stayed up with Steve's girls until about 3:00 one morning so that we could chat. I can't believe how grown up they are... and how old I seem to be getting! haha!
The girls and I just pretty much hung around the condo which was a ton of fun. One brother took his family to do go carts and the other took in a few shows with his. Mom and dad saw the 12 Irish tenors and said that it was great!
We came home today, fed the horses which the girlies missed terribly, ate an early dinner so that we could, yes you guessed it- go swimming in my parents pool. We were surprised tonight at our visitors in the pool. I guess that since we had been gone for a few days that a couple new inhabitants thought that it was safe to move in on our turf. While moving the pool toys, we spotted a little frog swimming for all he was worth to the side of the pool. Yes, we noticed him once we were already in- so I tried to make it fun and not totally freak out! We chased him to the side only to see that he had a buddy there waiting for him. We watched the frogs from a distance as they graciously gave up the pool for us. Haley finally touched one and then Hannah followed. I kept teasing the girls to see who was going to be the first to kiss one- Haley was almost convinced but then I had to put an end to it..... yuck!
We had a fun time once dad got in the pool and played Marco Polo with us. We came in to take a very warm and germ killing bath with lots of tear free anti bacterial soap. I'm hoping that it will also kill any frog fungus that may be among us :)
Scott is back home getting ready to go to Mexico on a planning trip. He took the camera so I have the older one. I'll try to download a few pics of the frogs and Branson in the morning. I stayed up until 3:00 am talking to my nieces Stephanie and Courtney and really need to be in bed before midnight tonight just for my own sanity! :) One hour to go... I think I can do it!
