All good things must come to an end and boy did we have a great vacation! The girls and I flew out of Wichita on Tuesday for home. We had a plane change in Denver and for the most part it all went off without a hitch! It's amazing to me how great the kids did! If I'm honest, there was a part of me that was a bit nervous about flying with my 3 little cuties, but they did a great job! I did set the bar pretty low...no meltdowns aloud from mom or the kids... that was my goal! And I had tons of treats so that helped!
The first flight everyone was awake. We had tons of turbulence going into Denver, but we pretended that we were on horses and were trying not to get bucked off. It seemed to work! I think that the other passengers thought that I was a bit nuts but I guess that would be an accurate assessment! haha! At least they weren't screaming or barfing!The second leg of the flight Haley slept most of the way and Hopie quickly followed. Hannah listened to Little House on cd and read along in her book. They did a great job! Thanks mom and dad for a wonderful vacation!
Scott doesn't know that we are on "planD" ( see earlier post). He thinks that we are driving across America and that we won't be home until next week. I can't wait to see his face when the girls and I pick him up at the airport tonight instead of our neighbor Mel! He has no idea! My parents, the girls and I have been trying to elude his questions of our where-abouts for the last 2 days! It's killing Hannah and my parents, although Haley and I are really loving being able to "trick daddy!" We'll let you know how it goes! Just 3 hours until the cat's out of the bag!
