My mom grew up in the area and has a cousin who is in a nursing home. She does not have family close so is always very happy to see the girls. We talked about ways to encourage Lee and so the girls came up with flowers, a picture of the 3 of them and Hopie took a piece of candy out of her goodie bag from a birthday party the day before. Each one gave Lee a gift and I think it was safe to say that she was encouraged. We stayed for an hour or so then went back to the car. We talked about how it made her feel but mostly how it made us feel being the encourager and had a great discussion.
