Take me out to the Ball game

Yesterday for church we talked about how we all are important. We read about the body and how all the parts are important. No one part is better than the others and how when all the parts work together things work well! We related this to a team and how a team may have a star player.. like Ichiro for instance, but if the other team members don't hit well, then he can't score, or if the pitcher doesn't throw the ball, then and the batter doesn't hit it, then Ichiro will never be able to catch the ball when he's in the outfield..... so, the "hands on" part of our lesson was to go to the last Mariners game of the season. It happened to be kids appreciation day as well so the girls got lots of goodies. Hannah got a lunch box, Haley a jersey, and Hope a giant foam mitt. We had a lot of fun and the weather was beautiful! Way to go team! and way to go Mariners... we actually won! :-)

What fun to go to a ballgame. Yes, team work is important if there is going to be a win. We had a similar lesson, for the children's moment,at Marshfield Christian yesterday...Know you all had a great time at the game. The kids gifts made the day. That's my kind of church, ha! The pictures and music are tops. Love, Bokie

Hmmmm... I think Scott and Dad have been talking because his sermon the Sunday before last was pretty much the exact same message, a good one though.Sounds like a great excuse to go the ballgame on Sunday! :) Glad you had fun.
