Today has been a hang out day. We started the morning with breakfast in bed from Haley- a pop tart each, and then breakfast on the table from Hannah- cereal. I could get used to this kind of treatment! I love having the t.v. in our big closet in our room... they can hang out in the mancave and watch t.v. while we attempt to sleep in... love love love that!
After a hearty breakfast, Scott went to Walmart to do the shopping and I started the cleaning, piano practicing, etc. etc. with the girlies. The weather here was suppose to be yucky but it is mid 70's and beautiful! The girls and I hit the Orting trail to walk, see the pretty leaves, and pick some black berries. We got maybe 5 cups at the most... there weren't very many out this time and I had a lot of " snackers" with me! HOpie passed out on the car ride home and as I was hauling in the girlies and all our loot, Scott opened the door.. on his way out.. to ride his bike on the ORting trail. He didn't know where we had been so I told him Orting was a great idea and that it was a perfect day for it! I think he needs a bit of work-out alone time so I hope he has fun. We are adjusting to this work schedule pretty well.. it's a bit tricky at times but we're managing! No pictures of our picking today- the camera was a bit much with 3 buckets and the girlies to manage. We just enjoyed the day and will have to use our good ol fashioned memory to remember it! There were lots of photo ops.. but really, the blog obsession must be curbed at times! :-)
The girls got a ton of books from one of our neighbors so they are reading for at least an hour while Hope sleeps. I'm going to try to find my mom's cobbler recipe so I can use those berries before they are snatched up! :-)

It does sound like a nice day at your house. Yum on the cobbler! We got a bunch of berries today at the Farmer's Market and they are SO good...
