PUPPY PARTY PART TWO!

Our games were " little doggy your bone is gone" and "pass the present and unwrap it as fast as you can"... kind of like musical chairs and hot potato combined. Scott made up a puppy cd just for the occasion complete with "Bingo", "Who Let the Dog's Out", "Me and You and a dog Named Boo", and the King singing "Aint nothin' but a hound dog" just to name a few. It was so funny to see the kids faces on some songs like "Who let the dogs out"! They freaked out singing and dancing.. then when we brought it down to the 70's peace lovin' tunes of a "dog named Boo" they just looked around like " what is this stuff?" So funny!
Our party wasn't complete with out hot dogs of course! Thank goodness that it wasn't raining! I was setting up table clothes on the floor when Mel looks at me and says "you have a deck... let's use it!" So we moved the party outside! She saved me from countless ketchup stains I'm sure! I think I"ll keep her around- she's turned out to be the other half of my brain on many, many occasions!
To finish things up we of course had to have pup cakes. Thanks to my pal Charis who has a cake decorating business! The puppies came in boxes with "free to a good home" sign. The boxes even had little "puppy poo" in them... the girls thought that was so funny! ( it was frosting, don't panic) ! Being the little micro manager that I am I thought that I had plenty of activities planned and was well prepared... but alas, we still had about 30 minutes to kill so we decided to let the dogs run and took them to the playground across the street. Thank goodness that it wasn't raining at the time! I guess my next move would have been to put in Clifford the movie, not that they would have watched it being hopped up on all that sugar! I think that it all worked out ok and the girls said they had fun so that's what matters! I do think that maybe next year we might start individual parties... I think I can handle 3 parties of 6 better than 1 party of 18! Whew!
