Haley's Birthday... the final chapter!

So, we have a kids party, an actual day celebration, and then a family outing party..... Sunday was our last installment in the triple -trilogy party extravaganza! For Haley's family day we started the morning with the last present- boots from us and socks from her sisters. Haley had the option of going to the mountain to try out the new boots ( Scott's personal secret wish.. who are we kidding?) OR going to the YMCA to go swimming. After much deliberation.....Haley chose the Y so we loaded up the van and were on our way. We made a quick pit stop at Krispe Kreme then it was off to burn those calories! We all had a great time and stayed in the pool for almost 3 hours! They even opened up the hydro-slide and the girls loved it! Haley did the red slide a few times then we walked up to do the gigantic blue slide.... and we decided after talking to the life guard that maybe blue wasn't for us so we walked the stairs back down. Hannah went down both slides and said that the blue was really dark! Of course Scott and I had to check them out too and I have to say that I think Haley made a great decision in not doing the blue slide! Holy cow it was so dark and so fast- I personally loved it but know that we would have to undergo lots of therapy for Little Miss Haley had she chose to go. We can visit the Y 3 times for free in a year so we have 2 more times to go in December... maybe we'll be able to work our way up to the blue slide by the year's end.... we'll keep you posted!:-)

All in all it was a great day! I love swimming not only for the exercise but for the fact that we are almost guaranteed an early bedtime every time we go! :-)
