ok, so this post goes out to my brother Dave. We often talk of this song and how it pertains to our mom's outlook on life! If there is a bright side she will find it! I think that's a wonderful quality, but to be honest, at times don't quite seem to have enough of my mom in me to be so "positive!" :-)
I'm a work in progress, what can I say? Oh to be half the mom she is!
I've shared this song with the girls and they think it's so funny! I dare you to listen to it and not want to shake what your mama gave ya so to speak! I thought that I'd share some funny things that they are doing to this wonderful sound track!.. here goes:
Today they had voting at school. Hannah voted for Obama because-" it would be cool to have an African American as president".... Haley chose "the rock Obama" pretty much because let's face it, it's a really fun name to say... and when they asked Hope who she was voting for.... she said Mia!.... yes... Mia Imber for president... I think it has a nice ring to it! The big question is... who will she choose for a running mate?
Haley was reading Polar Bear, Polar Bear what do you hear to Hope this evening. When Haley asked Hope "what is this?" ( pointing to a peacock) Hope replied " A popy- cock"... I think the kid has seen Mary Poppins a few too many times! They belly laughed for a good 5 minutes on that one!
Those are two from today! They crack me up! Thanks for allowing me some sappy sweet reporting on life with the girlies.... never a dull moment that's for sure!

That's so funny! I told Evelyn I was voting today and asked her who I should vote for and she promptly said "Debbie!" So do you mind if I write you in Deb? Then after I told her the two choices she too said, Barak Obama (you can't deny, it's a fun name to say).

I'll write I'd vote for Mia Imber too. I think she would be a great president, because I don't think she'll be able to lie to you without you knowing it. You know if she doesn't agree with you, she'll stand her ground and she'll follow up with those eyes of 'look you're wasting my time, I'll do it so get on board now.' Does Mia know she was running for this position?
The rock Obama...that's cute! Lily calls him "whack Obama". Insightful? Perhaps... =)
BTW, I know I have said it before and I will say it again...I think you are the coolest mom I know. I realize that I don't know your mom that well, but you are an amazing mom in your own right. You are so positive while still being honest. I love that about you. And do you realize what a wonderful childhood you are creating for your girls? There is no doubt in my mind that they will look back at their childhood with fondness and with an overflowing warmth and love for their mama.

My really smart and creative sister in law made it!... It's great to know people who are strong where I am oh so very weak! :-) I love it too!
